Finally finished with all the holiday commissions, I took a coffee break to paint a coffee cup. This is oil on a prepared board. 8 X 10 unframed. I adore painting reflections. Well, back to the painting fun. I'm still working on what to paint next but it's nice to paint for fun! Work starts again next week. By then I will be ready to hit the canvas.
I must say I love Goldens. Here are two recent ones in pastel which will be a surprise for the holidays (assuming someone doesn't accidentally see this blog). Shhhhhh...don't tell (not that you would since I am likely talking to myself). I don't think anyone has seen this blog.
Another recently completed piece, difficult because it is a posthumous portrait. I certainly would have preferred meeting this gentleman but hope the portrait brings back happy memories. This was done in pastel. Roughly 20 X 26.
A slight departure but always challenging, this charcoal will hopefully please the recipient and make it a good thing to get charCOAL in your stocking. 14" X 18" on prepared panel.
