Some More Summer Paintings

Who doesn't love a furry face? This pastel (16 X 20) is the most recently completed furry friend.

Triplets In Oil

The dogs above, oil on canvas (16 X 20), are all members of the same family. Rescued to a wonderful home, they are all adorable!

Recent Oil Portrait

It was my honor to paint a portrait of my dear friend, Jeff (also an artist). Though about 25 years overdue, I finally delivered! It sure was a lot of fun painting someone I know even though it made me a little nervous. My hope is that he liked it enough not to hang it in the garage or bring it out only when I visit. Oil on prepared panel. 20 X 24.

Stickler for Details

Above is a "just for fun" painting done in acrylic (which I rarely use). Trees fascinate me.

But wait...there are more!

I just realized, I have more to post! Above please find more recent pastel portraits.

Third Time's a Charm!

In an effort to out-do myself, I have decided to post even more recent work. I have now set a personal blogging record. I win! Above, please find a few recent oil paintings. Now I must get back to work!

New Record: 2 Posts in one day!

I have set a personal record! I have posted work TWICE in one day on this blog. Above are some recent pastels. Thanks for peeking!

Recent Pastels

Whoa! It's been way too long since I posted work on this blog (not that thousands of people are losing sleep). This past holiday season was incredibly busy and the new year has provided new and exciting opportunities, many of which are in process. Don't hold your breath, but as I complete some of the projects that take me in some different directions, I plan to post them. Above, please find a small portion of recent work as proof I am still alive and working.

Early November Portraits!

These are my most recently completed portraits. The top portrait was done in pastel and measures 18 X 30. I love this young lady's expression and eyes and had a lot of fun with the more impressionistic background and colors. The middle painting is an oil painting measuring 20 X 26 of 4 totally different cats (both in personality and appearance). The 4 are loved and cared for by two wonderful people with whom I adored working. The bottom portrait is a 20 X 24 oil on panel of a lovely little girl. The portrait's background was created in a slightly different style in order to blend well with an existing portrait of the subject's father done by another artist many years ago. I was happy to have been able to include hands as I love painting them. Thanks for looking! Back to work!
