Shell Game

The latest little still life effort produced an odd combination of nature and manufacture. An artist has to do what an artist has to do. Hope you enjoy! Oil on panel. 7 X 11 1/2.

Lovely work Lisa. Would be a beautiful design for an ancient mancala game. Interesting how you have pulled aside something (shells) that are usually taken for granted and placed them symbollically? or spiritually with a unique result of an irritant.

Gosh, Robin, thank you! Ah, simple symbols or spiritual symbols? That's up to you which is the beauty of artistic interpretation. I like the mancala comparison. Do you suppose the sowing in mancala could apply to something else? In any case I thank you for taking time to comment. Now I know where your blog is and can go visit there too!
